I've owned a Compaq desktop computer for five years now. This computer has proved to be very useful in a number of applications. I use the computer every day to download and listen to music and to manage all of my music media. My computer is also used heavily for business purposes; I keep track of all of my business contacts and all of the invoices that I send out. I also use the internet quite heavily on a daily basis. Although my computer has run smoothly for the most part, I have had a few small problems occur that prompted me to have to contact Compaq support. The operator from the Compaq support desk was eager to assist me. She explained each and every step that I needed to take to install the printer and waited on the line as I performed them. The operator stayed on the phone with me until I was able to successfully print a page.

The next problem that I encountered with my computer was that it began running slower than usual. When I attempted to load programs or download music my computer took a much longer amount of time to complete these tasks. I was concerned that something serious might have been causing this problem.

I called the Compaq support desk again and asked them what could be causing my computer to run sluggishly. This time they could not provide me with a direct answer but they suggested that my computer might be low on Compaq RAM, which refers to the random access memory of the computer.

The support team operator told me how to look up the memory space on my computer and to see how many MBs I had left. I had almost used up all of the memory that my computer had initially come with.

The operator recommended that I upgrade my memory by buying Compaq RAM and installing it into my computer. These upgrades would return my computer to its regular performance and provide me with many more years' worth of memory space for all of my songs and other files.

When the Compaq RAM arrived at my house I installed it by following the detailed instructions that came with it in less than ten minutes.
